Translated word for word, The Ordinary Canal is a totally inadequate name. Reguliersgracht is far from being just an ordinary canal, in fact, it is my favourite place in Amsterdam.

Starting a photography blog is my genius plan to share my passion with the world… and by "the world," I mean family, friends, and that random person who accidentally clicks on my blog while searching for cat memes. It's like opening a window into my hobby, but instead of fresh air, it's bombarding everyone with my latest snaps.

Here's the real kicker: all of this – the blog, the sharing, the hopeful dose of fame – it's really about keeping me happy. Photography is my jam. It's what gets me out of bed at 3 AM to catch that perfect sunrise shot, or not really at 3 AM but at least it gets me going. The blog is just a way to make sure I don't fall off the wagon and keep finding reasons to do what I love.
